What industries are rubber seals and rubber strips used in

2017-09-14

Rubber seals and rubber strips are used in railway locomotives, automobiles, airplanes, high-rise buildings, refrigerators, and various industrial parts to prevent external dust, air, water, etc. from entering the system as a rubber sealing element.

Rubber seals consist of two parts: sealing and installation.

This type of product mainly utilizes the elasticity of lips, cavities, flanges, and other parts in the body structure, as well as the contact pressure generated on the surface of the assembled coupling parts (glass, metal parts, etc.), to achieve sealing and decorative effects.

Generally used within the temperature range of -50 to 70 ℃.

Rubber strips can be divided into dense rubber strips, sponge rubber strips, double composite rubber strips, and triple composite sealing strips, and different cross-sectional structures can be designed according to their usage locations and conditions.

Considering the performance requirements of aging resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance, flame resistance, sunlight resistance, ozone resistance, acid and alkali resistance, chemical reagent resistance, flame retardancy, etc., generally, rubber materials with excellent aging resistance such as chloroprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, silicone rubber, natural chloroprene butadiene styrene blended rubber, rubber and plastic blended rubber materials are used for manufacturing.

The manufacturing method of rubber strips includes extrusion molding continuous vulcanization method, extrusion molding vulcanization tank vulcanization method, or compression molding vulcanization method
