The first part discusses the equipment that does not produce mechanical seals and the problem of seals working at low speeds without national standard mechanical seal pressure. The second part discusses the cracking of seal end faces, replacement of seals, and repairs.
1、 Question about the cracking problem of the end face of the gas film mechanical seal:
During the operation of the gas film mechanical seal for the kettle, although the possibility of cracking on the sealing end face of the mechanical seal model is very small, it cannot completely eliminate the possibility of this condition occurring when the seal is operated abnormally. If the seal cracks on the technical medium side, the pressure in the kettle will increase significantly. Therefore, it is necessary to consider this when designing gas film mechanical seals for kettles and equipment throughout the city.
2、 How to replace or repair gas film mechanical seals:
Most of the gas film mechanical seals used in kettles are containerized equipment, and assembly personnel trained in axial flow pump mechanical seals can easily replace them. Due to the special characteristics of the seal end face and groove design, it is impossible to add additional rotating seats to the seal end face. Therefore, users should have spare replacement sealing components or a set of sealing equipment.
3、 Improper gas film mechanical seal ring of equipment:
When the gas film mechanical seal ring for a kettle with a unidirectional groove can only move in one direction of rotation. When designing equipment, attention should be paid to the issue of rotation direction. If the rotation direction of the gas film mechanical seal ring for the kettle is opposite to that of the main shaft, please agree within a short period of time; If this continues for a long time, it will lead to dry sealing and touch work, resulting in more severe end face wear. However, in low-speed working conditions, the probability of failure due to the actual rupture of the sealing end face is not very high.
4、 The sealing ring operates without pressure at low speeds:
The low-speed working gas film mechanical seal ring that does not supply blocking gas may have some contact in this area. If there is insufficient gas supply, this situation can also occur, and the gas pressure cannot be maintained. The sealing work of soft and hard sealing materials is similar to dry sealing, accompanied by wear and tear. If hard end face sealing materials are used, the original flavor of the sealing end face is all a matter of time. Even so, the sealing end face will not easily experience natural damage.
