Characteristics and Applications of Rubber Seals

2017-05-12

Rubber seals are a type of universal basic component in sealing devices, effectively solving leakage and sealing problems, because rubber is an elastic polymer material with high elasticity and good insulation performance. These basic characteristics of rubber make it an excellent material for shock absorption, sealing, insulation, and other industrial applications.

1、 Classification

1. According to different raw materials, it can be divided into two categories: natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Natural rubber is relatively scarce, and synthetic rubber was invented to compensate for the insufficient production of natural rubber, possessing the characteristics of natural rubber.

2. According to their different appearances, they can be divided into solid rubber, liquid rubber, emulsion rubber, and powder rubber.

2、 Application

1. Automotive industry: fuel systems, fuel systems, etc.

2. Daily necessities industry: heating equipment, sanitary ware, etc., the materials used vary depending on the environment.

3. Hydraulic and pneumatic industry: semiconductor production and chemical industry, etc.
