When repairing the car door

When repairing doors with sealed flanges, attention should be paid to using balanced mechanical seals to repair damaged sealing flanges and accurately restore the shape of the original flange. After repairing the mechanical seal door of the car water pump, a sealing inspection should be conducted.

The inspection method is to place a piece of hard paper on the sealed position, close the door, and then pull the paper to determine whether the seal is good based on the magnitude of the pulling force. If the force required to pull the paper sheet by the alkali pump mechanical seal is too high, it indicates that the seal is too tight, which will affect the normal closing of the car door and also cause the sealing performance of the seal to be quickly replaced due to excessive deformation;

If the force required to pull the paper is too small, it indicates poor sealing and often leads to the phenomenon of the car door not being able to block wind and rain. When replacing the car door, be sure to apply edge glue at the joint of the inner and outer panels of the new car door, and block some small process holes left during stamping with adhesive tape.

When repairing car wiring

When repairing car wiring, all sealing rings for wiring harnesses at body holes and openings should be installed in place, as these sealing rings not only provide sealing but also protect the wiring harness. If the sealing ring is damaged or the wiring harness can rotate or move in the sealing ring, the sealing ring should be replaced and firmly assembled with the body hole or opening to secure the wiring harness.

When repairing car windows

After the car window glass is damaged, it should be replaced with glass with the same curvature as the original car window glass, and the glass guide groove and sealing strip should be checked for damage. Due to the fact that car windows often cannot return to their original shape after repair, in addition to ensuring easy pulling or lifting of the window glass, attention should also be paid to the sealing around the window glass after it is closed.

When repairing the roof of the car

When changing the roof, a layer of conductive sealant should be applied around the edge of the roof. After welding, edge glue should be applied throughout the water channel and joints. This not only helps to seal the body, but also prevents early rusting of the body due to water accumulation at the edge welding seam. When assembling the car door, a whole sealing and isolation film should be pasted on the inner panel of the car door below the window. If there is no formed sealing and isolation film, ordinary plastic paper can be used as a substitute. Then, the sealing and isolation film should be pasted and compacted, and finally the interior panel production assembly can be carried out.

When replacing the vehicle body

When replacing the entire vehicle body, in addition to completing the above items, a layer of sealant should be applied to the overlapping parts and welding points of its welds. The thickness of the adhesive layer should be about 1mm, and there should be no defects such as virtual adhesion or bubbles in the adhesive layer; Special edge glue should be applied at the edge of the fold; A 3mm-4mm elastic coating and anti-corrosion coating should be applied to the entire floor surface and front wheel casing surface; Soundproofing, insulation, and vibration damping films should be pasted on the surface of the floor and the inner surface of the front panel, followed by the installation of insulation felt blocks, and finally the installation of carpets or decorative flooring. These measures can not only greatly enhance the sealing of the entire vehicle and slow down the rusting speed of the body, but also greatly improve ride comfort.
